We understand the stress of a regulatory visit and how that can be compounded by busy schedules and not knowing what topics may be discussed. Our years of experience with the Competent Authority, however, means that we can make sure you are fully prepared for the regulatory year ahead, and be there to support you when the regulator comes calling.
Starting with the Intervention Plan, we can provide a Readiness Review. Using our knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry ‘hot topics,’ and solid experience of the intervention process we can help you identify areas of potential focus and opportunities for improvement.
Basically, it’s our goal to make sure you can walk into an intervention visit able to demonstrate that you are taking a proactive approach to compliance thereby avoiding any nasty surprises.
If you need us, we can also provide you with ongoing support in communicating with the Regulator, by attending intervention visits, if and when you want us, and ensuring that any follow up actions are fully completed and on time.

Safety Report
Our unique COMAH Safety Report model describes the arrangements for major accident hazard management by following the progression of an incident from prevention through to mitigation. It’s tried and tested and has been well received by operators thanks to our philosophy that Safety Reports should not simply be a means to ‘tick a box’ but should be a valuable resource for those on site.
Usability of the document is key, and its structure is designed to enable your people to pick up the report to understand the risks in their operational areas and the control measures in place to manage them. The objective of this is to inform and empower the operators on the ground, by helping them to understand how their activities can influence risk.
Having the Report as a common resource also ensures that your team is up to date with all aspects of the Safety Management System and are proactively engaged in the management of major accident hazards. After all, upholding the management system is not just the duty of management, but everyone onsite.
We have experience in supporting clients at various stages of the COMAH lifecycle and we can apply our COMAH model to suit whichever stage you are at, whether that be Pre-Construction, Pre-Operational or Operational and needing a five-year COMAH update.
