We are open to applications for summer or year-long placements at RAS.

The work we do covers a wide range of disciplines, so a placement at RAS would be suitable for anyone undertaking a STEM undergraduate degree. This could be any engineering, scientific or mathematical discipline.  The RAS team has a diverse range of academic backgrounds; problem solving, and logical thought processing are the main skills required.

At RAS you will be treated as a valued member of the team from day one and would undertake the same tasks as our graduates in a Junior Consultant/Technical Assistant position.

The role will involve working on projects relating to safety, environmental risk management and permitting. This includes hazard identification, consequence modelling, risk assessments, research, and other client-led requirements.

A placement student at RAS will carry out technical assistant and junior consultant activities.  Key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
