The key topics covered on the course include:
🟢 the fundamental concepts of climate change risk assessment, including adaptation and mitigation
🟢 the types of weather events which may need to be considered for a facility depending on location
🟢 the definition of a NaTech, including examples of tangible past incidents and how lessons learned should be applied
🟢 for each natural hazard type, the impact they may have upon plant, processes, building, people and the wider environment
🟢 the climate change risk assessment process and steps involved, including performing a baseline assessment for the current conditions before looking forward to climate change
🟢 practical interactive exercises based on case studies to evaluate NaTech events and identify climate change adaptation measures.
